Hi all
We know you have been waiting in eager anticipation for news on the SUSTAINABLE LIVING FESTIVAL 2011 and we sincerely apologise for having kept you all "in the dark" for so long.
However, the exciting news is that we have been hard at work planning and preparing for this year's festival and we are in the process of implementing the required steps to take the festival to a whole new level. As many of you know, it has always been our intention to grow the festival into a nationally recognised event.
We are very excited to be able to tell you that we have secured the interest of a National Retail Sponsor who are currently leaders in the retail world as regards Sustainability, and who are just as excited as we are about our new partnership options. This also brings with it additional partnering with a top-end Event Management Company who are involved in the annual management of world class events such as the Two Oceans Marathon, the Knysna Oyster Festival as well as the previous management of all the Fan Fests in the Western Cape over the 2010 World Cup.
This high level expertise together with the national retail sponsor with impeccable commitment to our environment is going to take our humble little SUSTAINABLE LIVING FESTIVAL to the national levels that we have always envisioned and will establish the festival not just as a major local event, but also as a "destination event" that will be well placed on the national calendar and will have people from all over the country travelling to our region to attend as well major support and coverage from all levels of media around the country.
With the exciting new plans and developments that these new partnerships are going to bring with them, we have had to move the dates to later in the year. Thus the SUSTAINABLE LIVING FESTIVAL is now set for the weekend of the 30th September - 2nd October 2011. As we are building up the festival to become a "destination event", it is important for us to be able to catch the cusp of a school holiday to allow for people to travel to the region and we have selected this as the best option for us as well as fitting in with our new partners funding and activity schedules.
We will of course be sending out mails to you all in the next 2-3 months to initiate bookings for stands and other involvement in the festival as well as to let you know of all the exciting developments that we will be implementing in this year's activity plans.
